Have you ever found yourself reaching for a bag of chips or a tub of ice cream after a long and stressful day even when you are not actually hungry. This common experience is known as emotional eating and it is a challenge that many of us face in our fast-paced modern lives. Emotional eating happens when we use food as a way to soothe or suppress negative emotions such as stress sadness or even boredom.
